Japa Mala

Japa Mala is a string made of prayer beads used for chanting mantras or for other spiritual exercise or “Sadhana” generally referred as “Jaap” or “Japa”. The mala beads are in the sets of 27, 56 or 108 repetitions.\r\n\r\nA wide variety of beads are used to make ‘Japa Mala’

Japa Malas are used to keep the mind focused as it is known fact that mind tends to wander all the time aspecially when we are doing prayer or meditation. The prayer bead moves with rhythm and mantra so mental distractions can be prevented.

Rudraksh Japa Mala

The rudraksh Japa Mala is generally used with ‘Shiva Mantra’. Usually ‘Five Faced Rudraksh’ is used to make Japa Mala. The rudraksha Japa Mala is helpful in mediation as well as if worn around the neck, it helps preventing lower blood pressure.

Precautions for Japa Mala :

  1. Rudraksh neck mala can not be used as Japa Mala and vice versa as both has different purpose.
  2. Japa Mala should be cleaned regularly with normal clean water. It should not be cleaned with soap as it spoils the bead.
  3. Rudraksha beads should be stringed with gold or red or black thread.
